Is anyone faithful anymore?

My granny once told me that my papaw, who was 20+ yrs older than her, had cheated on her! She had told me how they had met, fallen in love & how he couldn't decide if she was the one or not... She wrote him this big letter telling him it was either her or those other girls he was a courtin'... He chose my granny, they married & had two kids! When I asked her about their life together, I also asked if my papaw (a man that I loved more than any other man alive) had cheated on her, & her response was, well he's a man, ain't he? I knew I had heard rumors of men going through the hills to other women's homes etc but my papaw! I guess he was more like any other man that I realized & not the sweet, old man that I had known! He was 96 when he passed! It was heartbreaking to know that the one man that I had trusted the most was also like all the men that I had known in my own life... Sad, that it really doesn't seem that no one knows the meaning of loving only the one you are with, doesn't it?

Friendships

Are old friendships really worth it? I recently became friends with an old friend that was once my best friend! After years of only talking to her here & there, we stopped being friends with no explanation from her at all. Now that we are friends again, I think I am realizing how one sided our friendship was in the past. I have always had a hard time letting this friend go, we seemed so much a like but were we really? I am always there for my friends, I listen, I talk, I make them laugh & try to make them see the whole picture... I, often try to make them see a different side so they can see the whole picture in order to find the answers they need, but may not want to learn... Sometimes I think I have grown & others have not, as if they have stayed in the age group as when we were friends in the past... Maybe I have changed, not necessarily for the better but they are at a stand still in life... I believe that God allows friendships in your life sometimes for certain reasons, much like a season! How do you determine which friendship to hold on to & which ones to let go of & when? I, often times hold on when at times, I feel as if I should let go... If I let go, am I really a good friend? Then there are the times that I don't feel as if I am a friend at all because I never hold back what I have to say... I talk to friends in ways that I wouldn't allow someone to talk to me & am I wrong for being that brutal or am I just that honest? I also have my flaws as a friend, I speak when I shouldn't, ignore when I should listen & rude when I should be nice... I know that over all, I try to be the best friend that anyone can have... I try to be the friend that I would want someone to be to me, but do I achieve that goal, not always but all we can do is try...

This obit is funny

Yes this is a real obit, but I bet this woman's sense of humor was great!

Ruth E. (Sechrist) Rencevicz Ruth E. Rencevicz (Sechrist)Ruth E. Rencevicz, born Ruth Elizabeth Sechrist on August 28, 1927, passed away on September 7, 2008 due to complications resulting from her children making her old before her time.(Ruth had a playful and irreverent outlook towards life, an attitude that she was fortunate enough to retain right up until the time of her death. This obituary is being written with that philosophy in mind. If you find this particular viewpoint offensive, then read no further. Instead, please take comfort in knowing that Ruth fought her leukemia courageously right up until the very end, and that she died peacefully in her sleep.)Ruth passed away amongst the rich and famous in Greenwich, Conn. She is survived by brother, Clyde; sons, Wade, Bernard, Phil and Jon; daughters, Lisa and Sonya; grandchildren, Trevor, Grace, Casey and Sammy; an illegitimate child conceived when the circus was in town named Greg "The Donkey" King; her favorite dog, Lucy; and her favorite cat, Derrick.Over the years, in addition to her regular jobs as a full-time mom and a switchboard operator at both Sears and BFG Federal Credit Union, Ruth also served her country as a covert spy for the Central Intelligence Agency, where during the Cold War she was largely responsible for the breakup of the Soviet Union near the end of the 20th century. At least, that's the way she told it.Ruth was also very active as a volunteer with youth in her community in Tallmadge, Ohio, where she was known to selflessly give of her time by standing on her balcony yelling at kids for "playing that rap music" at all hours of the day and night. She also served as a mentor to young people by throwing rocks at teenagers dressed in loose baggy pants with their underwear exposed. She winged a couple of 'em pretty good, from what we understand.Although born in Hammondsville, Ohio, Ruth enjoyed summering in Greenwich, Conn., where she loved drinking Fresca with Absolut Ruby Red vodka, and stalking Peter Jennings and Jack Black.Ruth reported being abducted by aliens several times during her life, and we don't mean the good kind of aliens who come from outer space. We're talking about illegal immigrant aliens from Mexico and West Virginia. Oddly, Ruth never really complained much about these kidnappings.Ruth was adamant that people use the occasion of her passing to remember and celebrate her life. In lieu of formal funeral proceedings or viewing hours, she requested that those who remember and cared about her share both a special memory and a drink in her honor. Preferably Bud Light Lime, or if that's not available, gasoline or floor wax.

This made me really lol

Three women friends, one in a casual relationship, one engaged to be married and one a long-time wife, met for drinks after work. The conversation eventually drifted towards how best to spice up their sex lives. After much discussion, they decided to surprise their men by engaging in some S&M role playing. The folllowing week they met up again to compare notes.Sipping her drink the single girl leered and said, 'Last Friday at the end of the work day I went to my boyfriend's office wearing a leather coat. When all the other people had left, I slipped out of it and all I had on was a leather bodice, black stockings and stiletto heels. He was so aroused that we made mad passionate love on his desk right then and there!' The engaged woman giggled and said, 'That's pretty much my story! When my fiance got home last Friday, he found me waiting for him in a black mask, leather bodice, black hose and stiletto pumps. He was so turned on that we not only made love all night, he wants to move up our wedding date! The married woman put her glass down and said, 'I did a lot of planning. I made arrangements for the kids to stay over at Grandma's. I took a long scented-oil bath and then put on my best perfume. I slipped into a tight leather bodice, a black garter belt, black stockings and six-inch stilettos. I finished it off with a black mask. When my husband got home from work, he grabbed a beer and the remote, sat down and yelled, 'Hey, Batman, what's for dinner?''

Well..........

Well today I was on the phone all day but not getting anything accomplished! Why does it seem that voice mail has replaced human secretaries? Everywhere I called today, so & so is not at her desk, if you leave a message, so & so will call you back! Well I left Miss So & So a message, with my name, number & reason for calling! I called 4 different Miss So & So's & not a one of them called me back! What is the point of having voice mail if you are not going to check it? What are you really doing if you aren't checking my messages or calling me back? Do you really get that many calls or are you, Miss So & So really online doing nothing? Just a little frustrated today!
