Cake recipes

This is a cake for me....

Queen cake

3 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
2 eggs
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon mace
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 cup fresh milk
Frosting: 2-1/2 cups icing sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
2 teaspoons butter
1/2 cup fresh milk

Mix all ingredients together. Spoon into large, covered baking pot. Bake in 300 degree oven for 3 hours. After 2-1/2 hours take the cover off. Frosting: Next day. Combine icing sugar, almond flavoring, butter and milk. Mix well.


Blueberry Swirl Cheesecake


2 packages (8 ounce) cream cheese - softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 graham cracker pie shell
1 can blueberry pie filling

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Add eggs; mix well. Pour into pie shell. Spoon about 1/3 pie filling on top. Gently swirl with wooden pick. Bake for 40 minutes or until center is set. Cool at room temperature. Refrigerate. Serve topped with remaining pie filling.



Apple & Nut cake

3 sticks of butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 cup of evaporated milk
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups of white sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
5 big apples
200 grams of chopped nuts
1 cup of white suga
r 2 Tablespoons of cinnamon

Melt butter and let it cool completely. Beat butter with eggs and evaporated milk. Then add flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar and baking powder and continue to beat the mix until it is fully incorporated. Grease and flour a pan and put peeled and sliced apples on the bottom. Combine the nuts, 1 cup sugar and cinnamon; put half of this mixture over the apples. Then on top of this add the (butter, eggs, flour) mixture and top with the other half of the nuts-sugar-cinnamon mixture. Bake at 350 degrees. Serve warm.
